A Pollinators Paradise

A garden jointly designed by Christine Prebble and Katrina Christison

This garden is the creation of two neighbours who discover a shared passion for plants and pollinators. They create an abundant and buzzing garden full of annuals, perennials, herbs and edibles for themselves and the pollinators, a place to sit and sip wine and tranquil escape from their busy lives.  There are insect shelters and insect feeders to be filled with water in the summer and nectar in the winter when food is scarce.  Like the drifts of planting, ribbons of CorTen steel create terraces leading to a seating area topped with two steel rings, a symbol of their friendship.
